City of London “Christopher Wren”

Inspired by the architecture of famed London architect Sir Christopher Wren. This time focusing on just one citrus, dried orange peel, the profile is rounded with the earthy spice and bitter-sweet balance taking centre stage The new bottle shape takes inspiration from the cathedral dome, and also looks a bit like a juicer too. Made in batches of 200 bottles.

Nose: Soft and rounded. Still present juniper, now followed by bitter-sweet candied orange notes. A subtle underlying floral note lightens the nose.

Palate: Strong notes of candied orange, a touch of white pepper and a solid backbone of juniper. Seemingly a little sweeter and softer than the Authentic. A pleasant oily texture coats the mouth.

Finish: The orange persists through the finish. Juniper is still present and compliments the citrus. A little earthy and woody.

City of London “Old Tom Gin”

An older style of gin pre-dating London Dry, Old Tom was born as a response to poor-quality alcohol being produced in people’s own homes in London. Sugar and strongly spiced botanicals were added to make it more palatable and to hide the flavour of impurities in the spirit.

70cl 45.3% vol.

Nose: A little alcohol on the nose. Sharp pine notes and aromatic baking spices. Definite notes of orange.

Palate: Well balanced, a subtle sweetness accompanies the orange and cassia notes. Very little ethanol considering its ABV. The citrus leans more toward bright lemon on the palate.

Finish: The soft sweetness contuses with rounded orange and spice notes.

City of London “Six Bells Lemon”

Launched it at the end of 2018, this gin takes its name from the classic nursery rhyme ‘oranges and lemons, say the bells of St. Clement’s.’ Rather than a flavoured gin with full focus on one flavour, this is unmistakably a gin drinker’s gin; well balanced, and highlighting the characteristics of the prominent lemon botanical without overpowering the rest.

70cl 41.3% vol.

Nose: Aromatic lemon oil dominates the nose. Juniper is still present and adds a crispy dry undertone. Hints of camomile and honey.

Palate: Layers of lemon over a classic dry gin base. Sherbet-like lemon plays alongside more aromatic heavy lemon oils. At its core there is still juniper and a soft earthy note. A perfect bright summer gin.

Finish: Short and full of the light fresh lemon notes. Leaves a refreshed feeling to the palate.
