The best casks selected and bottled under the careful eye of our Master Distiller Billy Walker.

The Master Distiller, Billy Walker, has been working tirelessly on this new expression since day one; evaluating casks and refining recipes to create something special. We’re proud to present the jewel in our crown; the GlenAllachie 15 years old.

The Master Distiller, Billy Walker, is passionate about wood management, closely monitoring the development of the whisky until he finds the perfect balance of distillery and cask influence. With a very limited release of only 1,600 bottles available worldwide, The GlenAllachie 21 years old is offered at cask strength, natural colour and non-chill filtered, meaning this annual small batch release showcases GlenAllachie in its purest form.

As a blender for over 40 years, the warehouses are where Billy really does comes in to his own. Working across the 16 warehouses with casks dating back to the 1970’s, Billy has selected a limited number of casks to be released as GlenAllachie 18yo. The signature GlenAllachie rich, robust spirit in harmony with the heather and butterscotch notes.

The GlenAllachie 18 Year Old is bottled at 46%, non chill filtered and natural colour.

This rich bronze malt obtains its silky tannins, sweet spice and fruit notes from hogsheads made of French Oak (Quercus Robur) sourced from the Haute-Garonne region close to the Pyrenees. The fine-grained, consistent wood is air dried for 15 months before hosting the GlenAllachie spirit. The result is a delectable, subtle and earthy Single Malt.

This rich bronze malt attains its spicy, treacly flavours from hogsheads made of Spanish Oak (Quercus Robur) sourced from Galicia and Asturias regions, more specifically, the Cantabrian Mountains which have a cooler climate and greater humidity. Before being filled, the wood is air-dried for around 18 months, opening up the oak for the GlenAllachie spirit to extract the cask character.
