‘The Matsui – Sakura Cask’ is distilled by Kurayoshi, Kurayoshi city – Tottori prefecture. Aged in Sakura, famous and iconic Japanese cherrytree. This tree holds and important place in Japanese culture. It often used as a metaphor on ephemerality of beauty and life. It always has been a source of inspiration for Japanese artistsAging takes place in the Tottori prefecture in a natural environment where temperature vary drastically from season to season. It is then diluted down with high quality natural spring water from Mont Daisen.

NOSE : rich, full and sweet with cherry blossom flavors.
PALATE : intense and light at the same time, cherry blossom flavors.
FINISH : very floral.

The Matsui “The Peated”

A great care was given during the selection of malted Barley which was then peated. The master distiller believes that the quality of grain has a strong impact on distillation, aging and the complexity of the final product. Aged in American oak in the Tottori prefecture in a natural environment very favorable to a good aging. It is then diluted down with high quality natural spring water from Mont Daisen.

‘The Peated’ expresses sweetness and fruitiness with a smoky finish. A masterpiece made with care and passion!

The Matsui “Mizunara Cask”

Aged in Mizunara oak casks. Mizunara is known for its rarity and the difficulty to work its tight grain to make barrels. Spirits aged in this type of oak gain unique and original flavors. Aging takes place in the Tottori prefecture in a natural environment where temperature vary drastically from season to season. It is then diluted down with high quality natural spring water from Mont Daisen.
